Privacy statement

Klootsema Rioolservice B.V. in Groningen is responsible for your data. We are registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 42193041. You can reach us at info@klootsemarioolservice.nl.

We only process the data you give us yourself, by phone, WhatsApp, email or through the request form on the website. For example your name, address, phone number, email address, the description of your problem and how urgent your situation is. When we make an appointment, we also note the date, the time and what the problem is.

We use your data to handle your request, make an appointment, carry out the work and send you an invoice. We don't use it for anything else and we never sell it to third parties.

We are allowed to do this because it is necessary to carry out our agreement with you. For our accounts there is also a legal obligation.

When we make an appointment, you receive a confirmation by email or WhatsApp, with our terms and conditions. We send the details of the job via WhatsApp to the engineer who comes to you: your name, address, phone number and what the problem is. Our calendar is kept in Google Calendar.

If you give us your email address, you receive the work order by email after the job. The work order itself is in Dutch. Sometimes we take photos of the drain or sewer, for example of the blockage and of the result. We send those along with the work order. The email comes from our own mailbox, just like the request form. We keep the work order and the photos in our records.

We don't keep your data longer than necessary. Work orders, invoices and our calendar are part of our accounts. We keep those for seven years, as the law requires. We delete other data as soon as we no longer need it.

We work with as few other parties as possible. These parties process data on our behalf, and we have a data processing agreement with each of them:

• Google, with Google Workspace: our email and our calendar. This is where messages from the form, appointment confirmations, work orders and the calendar are kept.
• Vercel: the company that runs our website. With every visit, the server sees your IP address, otherwise it can't send you the page. The part that handles forms and work orders runs in Frankfurt.

If you send us a message via WhatsApp, or we send the details of your job to our engineer, this goes through WhatsApp, owned by Meta. WhatsApp's own terms also apply.

If data ends up outside the European Union, we make sure the same protection applies there. This can be through the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or through the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. We never sell your data.

Our site places no cookies and stores nothing about you in your browser. You can read more on our cookie page.

The map of our service area is on our own site. No external map service is involved, so the map sends no data to another party and places no cookies.

You may view your data, have it corrected or have it deleted. You can also object to its use. To do so, send a message to info@klootsemarioolservice.nl. We respond within one month. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
